FreeMove Life began in 2018 when three outdoor enthusiasts met on a coastal trail in New South Wales. Rachel Harper, an experienced wellness coach, Michael Torres, a nature photographer, and Sophie Chen, a movement therapist, discovered a shared vision during that chance encounter.
They noticed how modern Australian lifestyles often disconnect people from natural movement patterns and outdoor experiences. Despite living in a country blessed with extraordinary landscapes, many individuals felt trapped by routine, unsure how to integrate meaningful physical activity into their daily lives.
Starting with small weekend walking groups in Sydney, the initiative grew organically. Participants shared stories of rediscovering joy in simple movement, building community connections, and developing sustainable wellness habits. Within two years, FreeMove Life expanded across Australia, reaching thousands who sought freedom through accessible outdoor exploration.
Today, we continue honoring those founding principles: simplicity, accessibility, and genuine connection to both movement and nature. Every program we offer reflects our belief that everyone deserves to experience the liberating power of free, joyful movement.
